The OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine is pleased to announce the possibility for a free online course “European Mechanism of the Protection of Human Rights”.
The online course was developed by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine within the framework of the project “Ensuring the observance of human rights in the administration of justice”, implemented with the financial support of the Government of Canada and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. The course is developed jointly with the EdEra online education studio and is open to anyone who seeks to learn more about their rights. The training will begin on October 3, 2017. Registration for the course is already under reference. After completing the course, students receive a certificate.
Through an online course that lasts six weeks, leading international experts will explain the essence of fundamental human rights and freedoms as well as the mechanisms for their protection through the prism of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHR) and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) . The course participants will consider the following topics: “General overview of the articles of the ECHR”, “Principles of interpretation”, “Positive and negative obligations of the states under the ECHR”, “Algorithm of consideration of cases of the ECtHR”, “Procedure for filing complaints to the ECtHR”, “Implementation of ECtHR decisions”.
