On May 30, 2019, on the eve of Children’s Day, a scientific and practical conference of legal clinics of Ukraine “Interactive law education of students on the program “Street law” was held at the Legal Clinic of National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with the participation of members of the board of the Association of legal clinics of Ukraine, representatives of legal clinics of Kyiv and Kyiv region, public organizations.
From the National Academy of Internal Affairs, the event was attended by members of the Legal Clinics “Protection” of the Educational Research Institute # 1, “Expert” of the Educational Research Institute # 2 and “De jure” Educational Research Institute # 3.
The conference was moderated by Yulia Matveyeva – Member of the Board of ALCU, Head of the LC of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Natalia Tsyupryk – Member of the Board of ALCU, Head of the LC “Protection” of the National Academy of Internal Affairs.
The participants of the conference actively discussed the reasons that motivate students to commit crimes, social networks and their impact on the development of children, bullying in an educational institution and the importance of forming the legal consciousness of young people, shared the experience of legal clinics.
As a result of the conference, they agreed to create an online platform called “Regional Cooperation” for the purpose of conducting joint law-education, information activities and exchange of experience.
