Street Law – New Perspectives

On April 26, 2018, a working meeting of representatives of the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine and the Office for the Protection of Human Rights of the National Police of Ukraine was held at the Law Clinic of the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.

During the meeting, issues related to the preparation of methodological recommendations for training on human rights were discussed and the topics of such trainings were agreed upon.  These trainings will be held jointly the with participation of representatives of the National Police and Law Clinics of Ukraine in educational institutions of Ukraine.

In particular, during the meeting, the following topics were agreed: “The Police and You”, “Domestic Violence”, “Discrimination”, “Bullying”, “Detaining a Person”, “How not to Become a Victim of a Crime”, “You have Witnessed Crimes” ,”Responsibility of Minors”.

The participants agreed that in the near future each party identifies the responsible persosns for the development of methodological recommendations for conducting the named topics of training.

Meeting was  held within the implementation of the ‘Development of institutional capacity of the Association / network of legal clinics of Ukraine’ Project in partnership with the Ukrainian Legal Aid Foundation, supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.
