First three monitorings out of about 15 start this week in three legal clinics of Ukraine. These monitorings are aimed at exploring whether the activity of legal clinics in Ukraine is coherent with the Standards, established by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine.
On 17th of April montroing started at the Legal clinic ‘Femida’ of the Donetsk State University of Management, today it launches at the legal clinic of the Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law and on 22nd of April – at the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.
Each monitoring lasts for three days and is provided by the group of three experts, two of which normally represent Ukrainian legal clnincal movement and Association in articular, and one – is representative of the partnering state and local governmental entities and NGOs. Initial results of the monitorings are presented at the public events on third days of the monitorings. Later on the full reports will be published on this website, as well as the analitycal essays containing best pracrices discovered.
Monitorings are being held within the implementation of the ‘Development of institutional capacity of the Association / network of legal clinics of Ukraine’ Project in partnership with the Ukrainian Legal Aid Foundation, supported by the International Renaissance Foundation.
